Trustee Board
TTCF investments are made through the TTCF Trust. These investments are approved by the Trustee of the TTCF Trust - TTCF Pty. Ltd. The TTCF Trustee Board of Directors consists of an independent chair and a nominee from Westscheme and a nominee from each of the Member Universities.

Mr. Robert Trenberth AM
Mr. Robert Trenberth was recently awarded a 'Member of the Order of Australia (AM)' for his services to business, particularly through advisory roles for emerging manufacturing and research enterprises, a range of not-for-profit organisations and services to youth. Mr. Trenberth's commercial Board appointments include: Chair of Riviera Properties Limited, Chair of Extel Communications Pty Ltd, Deputy Chair of Upstream Technology Group and Chair of Advanced Polymerik Pty Ltd. Non-profit appointments include: Director of the Florey Neuroscience Institutes, Chair of the Australian Industries Research Centre and of the Melbourne Boston Sister Cities Association. Mr. Trenberth was formerly Managing Director of Ajax McPherson's Limited and then was appointed the Deputy Secretary of the Federal Department of Industry, Science & Technology and Chief Executive Officer of Ausindustry. He has also acted as director of a number of technology companies funded with private equity. Mr Trenberth holds an MBA from Harvard University Graduate School of Business, a Master of Applied Science from University of Waterloo, Canada and a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Melbourne.
Ms. Winsome Hall
Winsome Hall is a director and trustee director of a number of boards in the financial sector including – Zurich Superannuation Fund, State Super Financial Services Limited and ARIA (Australian Reward Investment Alliance). As with TTCF, Winsome is a director of the MRCF and UniSeed as a nominee of the Westscheme superannuation fund. She has previously been a director of Colonial First State Private Capital Limited and the Financial Industry Complaints Scheme. Winsome also writes best practice papers for ASFA the superannuation industry body. Her background includes work as a Director in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and as the Secretary of the ACT Branch of the Community and Public Sector Union.
Dr. Mark Toner
Dr Mark Toner is a former Managing Director of Kvaerner E&C Australia, a subsidiary of the international engineering and construction group Aker Solutions. His background is in technical marketing and management with a career focus on engineering, science and IT. He is Chair of Australian Science Innovations and two small technology companies, a National Board Member of Engineers Australia's Centre for Engineering Leadership and Management, and an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Engineering at Monash University. Mark is a former Chair of the CRC for Sensor Signal and Information Processing, a former Deputy Chair of Melbourne IT Ltd, a past President of the Business/Higher Education Round Table and a fellow of the following organisations: the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering, Engineers Australia, the Institution of Chemical Engineers in Australia (and former Chair) and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Mark is a Management Consultant with Toner & Associates.
Mr. Marin Matulovic
Marin Matulovic is currently the Director of Finance at The University of Auckland and has been in the role at the University since 2003. Prior to this Marin was a principal at Ernst & Young where he specialised in financial Advisory Services, CFO of a major NZ retail bank, financial and management consultant and held various marketing and senior finance roles at Air New Zealand. Marin has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from The University of Auckland and is a Chartered Accountant. For the last five years has been a council member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Mr. Paul Duldig
Paul Duldig is the Vice-President, Services and Resources at the University of Adelaide. In this capacity he also assumes the role of Emergency Director for the University should the need arise. Paul commenced with the University as Executive Director, Finance and Infrastructure. Before that he was General Manager (Finance) at the South Australian Department of Treasury and Finance, with responsibility for the South Australian State Budget, Capital Plan and Financial Management Framework. Paul is Chair, of Adelaide Research and Innovation Pty Ltd and Director of the Ngee Ann-Adelaide Education Centre Pty Ltd. Paul holds a Master of Economics and a B.Economics (Hons) from the University of Adelaide. He completed the Senior Executive Program 2006 at Columbia University, New York, USA. He is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Mr. John Grace
Mr. Grace has worked for 38 years in the biotechnology industry, 20 years of which he was a CEO. Mr Grace is an experienced director of listed and private companies. He operates a consulting business in biotechnology, iBIO Pty Ltd, primarily with clients involved in the commercialising of research particularly in the university sector. He is a member of the Council of the Australian Institute of Marine Science and a Vice President of the Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering. He is a Director and a Vice President of the Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering and Chairman of ITEK Pty Ltd, the research commercialisation company of the University of South Australia. He Chaired the Victorian government’s VSA Investment fund. Mr Grace is a past member of the Australian Research Council. He was formerly a member of the Victorian Premier’s Knowledge Innovation Science and Engineering Task Force, a member of the Industry Research and Development Board and President/Director of the Australian Biotechnology Association. His main focus is in the commercial development of leading edge science predominantly in Biotechnology. John was previously a CEO and Director for AMRAD Corporation Limited for eleven years and gained extensive business and management experience in a high tech enterprises operating in international markets. He has been a Director of a number of companies and has extensive experience in corporate governance and related issues.
Professor David Day
Professor David Day is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) at Flinders University. Prior to his appointment at Flinders University, Professor Day was the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Executive Dean of the Faculties of Science, Agriculture and Veterinary Science at the University of Sydney. A graduate of Adelaide Teachers College and the University of Adelaide, Professor Day subsequently held postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Illinois and UCLA that launched his academic and research career. He was a research scientist at the French Centre D’Etudes Nucleaires in Grenoble prior to taking up an appointment at the Australian National University where he became Head of the School of Biochemistry and molecular Biology. He subsequently held the Chair of Biochemistry at the University of Western Australia. He has served on the Australian Research Council and on the Executive of the Plant Science CRC at ANU. A specialist in plant biochemistry and molecular biology, Professor Day is recognised for leading high-level research groups in the study of plant energy metabolism, oxidative stress, ion transport and symbiotic nitrogen fixation. He was a founder of the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence in Plant Energy Biology, where he is still a Chief Investigator. Professor Day has more than 200 published works and is an Institute for Scientific Information highly cited researcher.
Mr. Paul Cheever
Paul Cheever is the Commercial Observer to the Board of Trustees at TTCF. Paul has worked in the finance and investment industries for over 37 years. During the 1970s, he was involved with many of the innovative developments in Australia’s financial markets, including the development of the bill market, new underwriting techniques for semi-government authorities, the introduction of promissory notes and currency swaps and the transition to de-regulated markets for government securities. During the 1980’s he held senior finance roles with two top twenty Australian listed companies. For the past 18 years Paul has had a high profile in the superannuation and investment industry, first as a Director of IPAC Securities Limited, then as Director of Consulting and Managing Director of Frank Russell Australia and followed by the establishment in 1996 of his own business, PlanPerform, a business planning and project management company. In 2000 he joined Access Capital Advisers in order to return to the investment business, where he has dealt with portfolio strategy, risk management, private equity and hedge funds. Paul previously served as Chair of ASFA’s Best Practice Committee. Paul has been heavily involved in venture capital on behalf of Access Capital Advisers’ clients over the past 8 years, evaluating venture managers, designing and executing a venture co-investment program and building commercialisation relationships. He is recognised as the designer of today’s new Commercialisation Funds. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Washington & Lee University, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan and is a Fellow of FINSA.
